Few words about Shimla-
Shimla is the queen of a hill station.
Famous for its view of snow-capped mountains, cool weather during scorching summers, and picture-perfect scenic views.
Someone, who spends most of the time in central India, finds these things exciting.
While most of you would be aware of all the local sight-seeing locations, what pleased me the most was Jhaku Temple.
How Far Jakhu Temple From Shimla?
Jakhu Temple is situated on Jakhu Hill.
The distance from Shimla to Jakhu Hill is just 1.5 to 2 km.
How to reach Jakhu Temple?
To reach Jakhu temple, you can take a taxi, cable car, or walking through the dense pine trees.
The vehicle which we hired dropped us at the foot of the hill where the temple is located.
From there you have to take a local taxi, which usually is Alto or M800.
You can choose the cable car option to see the hidden beauty of Jakhu hill by bearing Rs. Five hundred per person, and it takes 5 min to reach Jakhu temple.
Due to the unavailability of a seat, I volunteered to climb up the hill.
Rather than taking the regular road, I decided to do a trek through the forest on the hill.
After I started climbing the hill, fortunately, I met another traveler, due to which navigation to the temple became easy.
It takes almost 40 – 45 minutes to reach the temple.
It’s a very different experience to walk and climb amidst long pine trees and see the families of the monkeys all around.
When you reach the temple, you see monkeys all over.
One has to be cautious with the belongings.
Monkey can even take off the sunglasses or specs from your eyes.
If any such thing happens, do not panic. Just give monkeys something to eat, and they will return your stuff.
The objective is only to get some food from tourists and not harm anyone.
